PIG HEALTH CARE | PIG HEALTH FACTS

PIG HEALTH CARE | PIG HEALTH FACTS

"One man's meat is another man's poison" is a truism that is proven daily in our modern day society. Don't you just Love Languages? Man was acquired the taste for meat that previously was unheard of as food. Restaurants in certain parts of the world though well hidden are serving up, crocodile steaks, snake rolls in tabasco, rat meat stew, spiders grilled in batter, roasted eagle, pig bladder or stomach soup, roasted dog, snails in white wine and grilled locusts. These menus are strictly for the eccentric, as well as the wealthy and the perverse.

Just a few weeks ago newspapers had a field day with coverage about conservationists and animal rights groups who were up in arms about Lion steaks that appeared on some restaurant's menu. Some weirdos are even eating human placenta (after birth) but its not available in restaurants yet, but can be found on the shelves of expensive cosmetics companies, supposedly as the fountain of youth. Ya right! Be that as it may, I can imagine that some of these treats would be acceptable to some but not to others. For example, the snake and the spiders meals is definitely a no-no for me, but that doesn't imply that I'm susceptible to eating any of the other vile foods in a hurry. So sorry, I Love Life.

This brings us to the quality of meat and its composition. Essentially all animals that eat other animals (animals of prey) consume blood which is probably the compound that spreads disease easiest and fastest. Besides that, all animals of prey have wild tempers and consumption of these treats would change your DNA and your temperament as well. "You are what you eat" . The fatty acids of these wild beasts are vastly different from that of grazing animals who's fatty acids our bodies can process and benefit from.

Carrion Eaters

Rats and pigs are scavengers and often hunt for food in rat packs or swineherds and consume any carrion they find. Both these animals are relatively dirty, in fact, both are rather renown for living in filth. Crocks are also carrion eaters and is known to lodge its catch under a log or stone underwater and wait for it to decay before eating it. In the like manner pigs waits for carrion to decay, become fly infested and reek before consumption, hence the adage, "as dirty as a pig". Swine flu being its latest gift to man. Just a few weeks ago, scientists were experimenting and studying the immune system of flies found to live and breed in piggeries in the hope of finding the gene that gives them immunity to the incredibly large amounts of bacteria and germs found there. I doubt very much if either of these beasts were destined to be in the pot or the belly of man, even if they cooked at high temperature for hours. But then again to each his own.

Snakes and spiders eat rats, mice and insects respectively. Each getting the necessary enzymes from their prey in order to produce the poisons they need to process their meals and paralyse prospective prey. "They are what they eat" They consume their own poisons which doesn't harm them but some are embedded in their own flesh in minute quantities, man has no business eating them, as these poisons may have an impact on the his DNA and therefore could affect future generations.

So, will our future generations be resistant to poisonous toxins and immune to germs and bacteria if they continue eating these treats, or will it change their DNA to produce mutant offspring with tempers like that of wild animals, or will they become diseased and outcast as were the lepers?

Only time will tell. However, people who ate these treats boast about the highs they experience which drugs cannot induce. They have dreams that makes Revelations look like a kiddies bedtime story and get frivolous thoughts that incites them to having wild orgies.
